Our specialist-led soft tissue department offers treatment for a wide variety of surgical conditions, including but not limited to conditions of the head and neck, airways, gastrointestinal tract and urogenital tract.
Overview
The multi-disciplinary team at Lumbry Park includes specialists in emergency and critical care, anaesthesia and diagnostic imaging enabling us to provide first-class, comprehensive perioperative care to emergency and critical patients undergoing surgery with us.
We also work closely with our oncology service to provide multi-modal management options for a wide range of oncological conditions.
We can accept all surgical referrals including:
- Oncological surgery
- Portosystemic shunts
- Skin reconstructions-grafting, etc.
- Laryngeal tieback
- Soft palate resection and upper airway procedures (BOAS)
- Minimally Invasive Surgery – laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, cystoscopy
- Total ear canal ablation/lateral bulla osteotomy
- Gastric dilation/volvulus
- Perineal hernia repair
- Ectopic ureters
- Stapling procedures (liver and lung lobectomy)
- Perineal urethrostomy.

Overview
Our specialist cardiologist can diagnose most conditions by performing an ultrasound of the heart (echocardiography), ECG and X-rays.
- Specialist cardiology assessment of acquired and congenital heart disease as well as investigation of syncope and exercise intolerance.
- Echocardiography – 2D, M-mode, Doppler and tissue Doppler studies are performed.
- Electrocardiography (ECG) – 7 lead recording, continuous ECG monitoring and 24-hour ambulatory Holter ECG analysis.
- Advanced Imaging – selective angiography and computed tomographic (CT) angiography.
- Clinical investigation of cardiac murmurs, arrhythmias, syncope, collapse, weakness and exercise intolerance.
