Susan is a cat lover who is owned by a lovely ginger coloured rescue cat from Dubai. She joined Lumbry Park following a 35 year career in the airline industry where she gained extensive experience working in the terminals at Heathrow, customer service training, people management and latterly handling aircraft disruption and coordinating customer recovery in the network operations and flight planning department. This is when she started learning that relieving stress by breaking glass and making mosaics was her ideal creative outlet which has been her hobby now for the past 15 years!
Susan trained to be a human nurse, when she left school, which has translated well into the veterinary world. She loves adventure and a few of the most exciting moments in her life include attending a Buckingham Palace garden party, undertaking a road trip across America on a Harley Davidson motorcycle and doing a wing walk on the top of a biplane. Susan enjoys off-road and green laning when she isn’t making mosaics and volunteers for a few weeks every year at a street animal rescue sanctuary in Turkey.
