Rebecca has gone by the nickname of ‘Beanie’ to friends, family and colleagues for as long as she can remember. Having completed an BSc (hons) in Equine Science, she started her veterinary career working for an equine practice in Midhurst, West Sussex. Here she gained invaluable skills and knowledge, affirming her desire to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
In 2019 she was offered a position at a first opinion small animal practice, where she soon embarked on her Veterinary Nurse training. She qualified as an RVN in July 2023. Beanie also gained the additional Suitably Qualified Person accreditation, authorising her to prescribe and dispense certain medications for companion animals.
Eager to gain exposure in referral nursing, she was then offered a position as an Anaesthesia Nurse at Lumbry Park and joined the team in January 2025. Anaesthesia is of particular interest to her and she aims to specialise in this area.
In her free time, Beanie enjoys riding her home-bred horse, Ralph. She also loves cross country running accompanied by her whippet, Plum, who is an excellent companion and pacemaker!
