Mireia qualified as a veterinary surgeon in Spain. After completing a rotating internship in her home country, she moved to the UK, where she gained experience in first opinion practice before undertaking several anaesthesia internships and junior clinician roles in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia across both private practice and academic institutions.
Mireia went on to complete an ECVAA Residency in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia at the University of Liverpool, where she also became an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in recognition of her commitment to teaching and education.
Following her residency, Mireia worked throughout the UK as a locum anaesthetist before joining the team at Lumbry Park in November 2025 as a Clinician in Anaesthesia and Analgesia.
Mireia enjoys all aspects of anaesthesia, with particular interests in locoregional techniques and the management of critically ill patients. She thrives in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments and is passionate about training veterinary nurses, interns and residents.
Outside of work, Mireia loves travelling, spending time with friends, and participating in Hyrox training. She is also looking forward to adopting a dog in the near future!
