Michaela obtained a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from Murdoch University, Perth, Western Australia, before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice, Slovakia, in 2017 as an international student.
Following 2.5 years in small animal general practice, she developed a strong interest in diagnostic imaging and pursued further postgraduate clinical training. In 2024, she completed a rotating internship at Chestergates Veterinary Specialists, followed by a Diagnostic Imaging Internship at Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists. She commenced the Diagnostic Imaging Residency at Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists in July 2026.
Her clinical interests encompass all imaging modalities, with particular focus on image-guided procedures. She has been involved in intraoperative imaging, including the use of fluoroscopy to support surgical guidance. Michaela particularly enjoys the collaborative work environment and demands of Diagnostic Imaging across multiple disciplines.
