Michaela obtained a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from Murdoch University, Perth, Western Australia, before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice, Slovakia, in 2017. Following 2.5 years in small animal general practice, she developed a strong interest in diagnostic imaging and pursued further postgraduate clinical training. In 2024, she completed a rotating internship at Chestergates Veterinary Specialists, followed by a Diagnostic Imaging Internship at Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists. Her clinical interests encompass all imaging modalities, with particular focus on advanced cross-sectional imaging and image-guided procedures. She has been involved in intraoperative imaging, including the use of fluoroscopy to support surgical decision-making. She is currently working towards a residency in Diagnostic Imaging.
