Kate qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2016 and has since built a varied and rewarding career across both first opinion and referral practices. She has also been proud to support the next generation of veterinary nurses through her role as an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) at a veterinary nursing college, helping to uphold high training standards across practices in the South-East.
Working night shifts in a referral hospital deepened her love for inpatient and medical nursing, where she particularly enjoys providing dedicated, hands-on care to hospitalised patients. She has also completed the ISVPS Certificate in Medical Nursing in 2021, reflecting her passion for learning and delivering the highest standards of care.
Away from practice, she is a keen conservationist and has had the opportunity to work in Africa alongside wildlife vets, contributing to the protection of endangered species such as Black and White African Rhinos.
Outside of work, she enjoys life with her young family and her much-loved boxer, Shae. She also holds a special place in her heart for her late dog, Vinnie, whose memory continues to guide her approach to every patient she cares for.
