Qualifications:

Jess started her veterinary nursing career in 2001 in a primary care practice as a student veterinary nurse where, following qualification, she progressed to become Head Veterinary Nurse. She moved to referral veterinary practice in 2014 and has a special interest in endoscopy and chemotherapy.

Jess holds a Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care and is currently working through a Certificate in Internal Medicine.

She has two children, a crazy springer spaniel called Hendrix and a horse called Kiss.

Overview

Our specialist cardiologist can diagnose most conditions by performing an ultrasound of the heart (echocardiography), ECG and X-rays.

  • Specialist cardiology assessment of acquired and congenital heart disease as well as investigation of syncope and exercise intolerance.
  • Echocardiography – 2D, M-mode, Doppler and tissue Doppler studies are performed.
  • Electrocardiography (ECG) – 7 lead recording, continuous ECG monitoring and 24-hour ambulatory Holter ECG analysis.
  • Advanced Imaging – selective angiography and computed tomographic (CT) angiography.
  • Clinical investigation of cardiac murmurs, arrhythmias, syncope, collapse, weakness and exercise intolerance.
