Iris graduated from the Estonian University of Life Sciences in 2015. After working at a small animal emergency hospital in Estonia, she undertook a small animal rotating internship at Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists. This was followed by a specialised internship and a 3-year residency in small animal internal medicine accredited by the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine which she finished in 2023. Thereafter, Iris successfully passed the certifying examination in March 2024, becoming Board Certified in Small Animal Internal Medicine. Iris has a particular interest in acute medicine, nephrology, immune-mediated diseases and endocrinology.

In her spare time, Iris enjoys travelling, sports such as hiking, rollerblading and cross-country skiing, and spending time with her friends and family, including her two guinea pigs Bob and Dave.
