Cristina qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Zaragoza (Spain) in 2017. During her student years, she volunteered at the University Hospital of the Faculty other first opinion veterinary practices.
After graduation, she spent one year working in a first-opinion hospital in Mallorca doing internal medicine consultations and emergencies. Later, she moved to Murcia to undergo a Small Animal Medicine Masters at the University of Murcia. Wanting to expand her knowledge, Cristina completed a one-year rotating internship in a multidisciplinary referral hospital in Spain before moving to the UK in 2022, where she joined the Internal Medicine service in another two different referral hospitals as a Medicine and Oncology Intern. In January 2024, Cristina joined Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists as an Internal Medicine Intern. Cristina enjoys all aspects of canine and feline internal medicine but has particular interest in immunology, haematology, endocrinology, and acute medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her rescue dog Porthos, hiking, skiing, and dancing.
