Oncology
Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists is committed to providing multidisciplinary and the best possible patient care.
Overview
Our oncology service is run by specialist Kasia Purzycka, who is one of a handful of diplomates of the ACVIM currently in the UK.
At Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists, we understand that a diagnosis of cancer can be distressing and cause anxiety for many pet owners. We offer the most advanced diagnostics to allow an early detection and comprehensive assessment of every cancer patient referred to us.
In our state-of-the-art facility, every patient receives an extensive evaluation by our expert team, which includes specialist vets and nurses. During your pet’s first visit, we will thoroughly discuss the diagnosis with all up-to-date treatment options available. Just like in people, treatment options might include surgery, chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy. Our goal is to guide you through the various treatment options and make sure you are comfortable in decision making and understand the potential outcomes and prognosis.
Our Oncology experts will coordinate advanced imaging techniques using diagnostic tests such as X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT and biopsy, which can be ultrasound guided, endoscopic, or surgical depending on each individual patient.
