Overview

As part of the diagnostics, most conditions affecting the central nervous system require an MRI scan, and this can be done directly at our hospital. We also have electrodiagnostics in house, which allow us to test for muscle and peripheral nerve conditions. Cases undergoing these diagnostics require a general anaesthetic during which additional procedures, such as collection of spinal fluid and nerve and muscle biopsies, can be considered to help determine the cause of your pet’s neurologic disorder and their appropriate treatment plan.

We can provide medical and surgical treatment of all disorders of the nervous system, including but not limited to:

Brain and head:

• Meningoencephalitis of unknown origin (MUO)
