Faye McCabe

Referral Wards RVN

Prior to pursuing her lifelong dream of a career in Veterinary nursing, Faye originally was an Employment lawyer and Lawyer Development coordinator who volunteered in her spare time at various RSPCA catteries and hospitals. In 2015 Faye began the process of re-training at a first opinion veterinary practice in Shropshire. She undertook various roles from veterinary receptionist, kennel assistant to student veterinary nurse and finally qualified as an RVN in 2019.   Faye joined Lumbry in January 2023 in the Wards team. Faye enjoys being hands on with nursing care, especially the ophthalmology, internal medicine & critical care cases which involve intensive monitoring & nursing interventions. Faye also has a soft spot for cats and has hand reared new born kittens and studied the ISFM course in Feline Emergency & Critical care. 

Outside of work Faye enjoys spending time with her family and her two cats Bjork and Jeffrey who was one of the kittens she hand reared.
