Jeremy graduated with merit from the University of Cambridge in 2008 with a double first in Zoology and Veterinary Medicine. He went on to complete an internship at the Royal Veterinary College in 2009 before working in various first opinion practices across the UK. In 2011 Jeremy started a residency in neurology and neurosurgery at the University of Bristol which he completed in 2014. He was awarded a diploma of the European College of Veterinary Neurologists in the same year. Jeremy remained at the University of Bristol as a Teaching Fellow for 24 months and became an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy before joining a private referral hospital in Hampshire in December 2016 as a senior surgeon in neurology. He worked there for two years and during this time was recognised as a RCVS specialist in neurology.
Jeremy is experienced and interested in all aspects of veterinary neurology and neurosurgery but has a particular clinical interest in spinal stabilisation surgeries, including those for wobbler syndrome and vertebral malformations such as atlanto-axial subluxation. Jeremy’s previous research interests have primarily focused on inflammatory conditions of the central nervous system such as steroid responsive meningitis-arteritis and polyradiculoneuritis.
