Tyfane graduated from The University of Queensland, Australia, in 2007 then spent two years in small animal general practice in Wagga Wagga, Australia. In 2010, Tyfane assisted in an embryo transfer project in sows as an anaesthetist and surgeon at Rivalea Australia for 9 months then joined the anaesthesia team at Charles Sturt University (CSU), Australia, as an Associate Lecturer in Anaesthesia later that year. In 2012, Tyfane moved to Glasgow to start a residency in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia at the University of Glasgow and upon completion of the residency, she stayed on as a Clinician in Veterinary Anaesthesia. Prior to joining Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialist, Tyfane worked at Pride Veterinary Centre in Derby. Tyfane is particularly interested in anaesthetic management for oncological surgery and radiotherapy, respiratory physiology and mechanical ventilation, the use of neuromuscular blocking agents and vasoactive drugs, and management of critical care patients in the intensive care unit, in particular, vascular access, cardiovascular support, analgesia, and fluid therapy. In her spare time, Tyfane enjoys traveling with family and friends. When not traveling, she enjoys going to the ballet, theatre, and stand-up comedy shows. Some say ‘laughter is the best medicine’ and while living in Australia, Tyfane enjoyed going to the Melbourne and Sydney Comedy festivals. After moving to the UK, she was able to go to the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, watching some of the best comedians. Tyfane currently does not have a dog but would love to have a Westie!
