Martina graduated from the University of Perugia (Italy) in 2014 and then undertook a rotating internship at the Novara Veterinary Institute (Italy). It was during this period that her interest in veterinary anaesthesia grew and she decided to pursue a career in this field. She moved to England in 2016 and completed an anaesthesia internship at Pride Veterinary Centre (Derby), followed by eight months at the University of Liverpool as an anaesthetist. In 2018 Martina started an ECVAA Residency in Veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia. She joined Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists in July 2018 and achieved the Diplomate status in Veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia in 2022.

Martina is particularly interested in pharmacology of the anaesthetic drugs and enjoys anaesthesia for interventional cardiac procedures. She also has a qualification as swimming instructor. When she is not working, she finds her head space running around Winchester.
