Joanne graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2006 with a special merit and John Hickman award for outstanding achievement in Equine Studies.
After time as an equine intern and two years in mixed general practice in Suffolk, Joanne returned to the University of Cambridge to undertake a residency training programme in Anaesthesia and Analgesia.
In 2012, Joanne was awarded the EBVS European Diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia and is an RCVS recognised specialist.
After developing and leading the Anaesthesia and Pain Management service at a multidisciplinary referral practice in Derbyshire for five years, Joanne returned to her family and friends in the south and joined Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists in 2016.
Joanne is experienced and passionate about all aspects of anaesthesia and analgesia, particularly providing high standards of care to patients and clients. She and has particular interests in neuromuscular block, local and regional anaesthetic techniques and chronic pain management, including utilising acupuncture.
In her spare time, Joanne loves baking and tending the veggie patch and walking the most loveable of spaniels.
