Joanne graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2006, and after time as an equine intern, she spent the following two years in general practice.

In 2008 Joanne returned to the University of Cambridge to undertake a residency training programme in Anaesthesia and Analgesia. Prior to joining Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists, Joanne worked in private referral practice in the UK for five years where she set up an anaesthesia and pain management referral service, providing exemplary expertise and care to all patients.

Joanne enjoys all aspects of anaesthesia and analgesia, particularly applied physiology, teaching and the problem solving challenges of anaesthesia.  She has particular interests in local and regional anaesthetic techniques and pain management.

Joanne aims to provide an approachable and efficient anaesthesia service to her colleagues and welcomes anaesthesia referrals and advice requests.

Joanne passed the European Diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2012 and is a European and RCVS recognised Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia.

When not working, Joanne loves baking (attempting to be as good as the Great British Bake Off) and spending time outdoors, tending to the vegetable patch and walking with her partner, two children and beautiful Springer Spaniel.
