Joana Rijo

Rotational Intern

Joana graduated in March 2022 at the University of Évora, Portugal. With the goal of improving her professional capabilities she moved to Barcelona and dedicated one year with the Emergency department in a first opinion hospital.

Always looking to be the Dr House in Veterinary Medicine! and to achieve her goal of becoming an EBVS Internal Medicine Specialist, she has decided to start a General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Medicine.

In July 2023, Joana started her role as a rotating internship at Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists. Additionally, Joana is also interested in Emergency and Critical Care and Ophthalmology.

In her free time Joana is a book writer and has a great love for her lovebirds Cupra and Tous.
