Lumbry Park is well located a short distance to the south of the attractive market town of Alton which lies midway between Guildford and Winchester. We have plenty of on site parking available including designated accessible parking bays.
Situated on the Selborne Road (B3006) immediately adjacent to the A31. The A31 provides fast access to the A331 (Blackwater Valley Relief Road) which in turn links with the M3 and wider motorway networks. Alton mainline railway station provides regular services to London Waterloo with a journey time of approx 1 hour 10 minutes. Please use GU34 3HL as the postcode when using a Sat Nav.
From the A3: Join the A31 at Guildford, follow it for 10 miles until you bypass Farnham then a further 10 miles to Alton. Go over the first roundabout in order to bypass Alton. Then take the next exit, turning left onto the Selborne Road (B3006). The entrance to Lumbry Park is just a few hundred yards on the left. There is ample car parking.
From the M3: Join the A339 at Basingstoke, follow it for 14 miles to Alton and turn right (sign posted for the sports centre). Follow the road under the bridge to a double roundabout. Bear right onto the Selborne Road (B3006) and continue until you pass under the A31 (Alton bypass). You will find the entrance to Lumbry Park is just a few hundred yards on the left.
From Southampton and Winchester: Join the A31 at Winchester, and follow it for 15 miles. Go through Four Marks then take the first exit for Alton. Follow the exit off to the left to a small double roundabout in order to double back on yourself and go under the A31. You will be on the Selborne Road (B3006) and will find the entrance to Lumbry Park is just a few hundred yards on the left.
From Heathrow: There are regular bus services from Heathrow Airport to Woking train station (namely the Rail Air Coach Link). From Woking there is a direct train through to Alton. Your journey should take approximately 1h.30 – 1h.40 minutes. Alternatively travelling by car, from the airport follow the signs to the M25 and join the A3 at Wisley heading towards Guildford. You then need to join the A31 at Guildford (follow the directions from the A3 above).
From Gatwick: Gatwick Airport has its own railway station. From the Airport you can catch a train direct to Guildford, from Guildford to Aldershot and Aldershot to Alton. Or catch the train from Gatwick Airport to Clapham Junction and from Clapham Junction to Alton. Both journeys taking approximately 1h.45 minutes.
