After graduation from the Royal Veterinary College, Adam completed an internship at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals, He then spent a period in general practice including sole charge night work in a RCVS hospital and emergency practice.

Adam completed his residency in Emergency and Critical Care in 2013 becoming board certified the same year. During this time completing a master’s in veterinary medicine again at the RVC.

He was appointed an Honorary Lecturer of the University of Liverpool in 2014 and continues to teach and examine for advanced veterinary practice certification in ECC for a number of organisations.

He became an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care in 2015.

Prior to joining Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists Adam was Group Head of Emergency and Intensive Care for four RCVS Recognised hospitals and branches and oversaw standards of out of hours provision for 50+ sites. He was clinical lead at the group’s flagship site developing the only specialist ICU in central London helping plan and open the only 24-hour specialist centre.

His clinical interests include all aspects of Emergency and Critical Care with particular interests in trauma, toxicology, renal disease, sepsis, respiratory failure (including ventilation), transfusion medicine and CPR.

He has lectured and provided practical tuition both nationally and internationally and has published a number of review articles, case reports and hospital based clinical research abstracts lately in conjunction with the veterinary masters program of the University of Lisbon.

He is looking forward to providing one streamlined point of contact for emergency referral and continuing to advance the provision of critical care for the sickest patients working with the expertise of the multi-disciplinary team at Lumbry Park.

When not in the ICU he and his partner (she is also a vet) spend their time trying to control their furry family of three cats and two dogs!
